La Tahona Vieja is an exclusive-use rural complex in El Barraco, Ávila, made for families and groups looking for quiet, privacy and room to enjoy together. It is made up of four separate houses within the same complex and sleeps up to 16 guests. It has a private courtyard with a barbecue, fireplaces and a private seasonal pool, combining the charm of a rural property with everything you need for a group getaway.
The space
La Tahona Vieja is made up of four separate houses: La Casa de la Cebada and El Desván del Trigo, two large houses with three bedrooms each, and El Rincón de la Avena and El Rincón del Centeno, two houses with one bedroom each. In total the complex has 8 bedrooms and sleeps up to 16 guests.
Each house has its own kitchen, living room and bathroom, so every part of the group gets its own space without giving up time together. All the houses also have a fireplace, which makes La Tahona Vieja especially welcoming during the winter months.
Amenities and spaces
Guests have the whole complex to themselves for the duration of their stay. As well as the four houses, there is a private courtyard with a barbecue for outdoor meals and get-togethers, and a private seasonal pool to enjoy over the summer months.
All the houses and the main areas of the complex are reserved for the same group, so you have privacy and freedom throughout the stay. There is free street parking right in front of the complex, in a quiet part of El Barraco.
Good to know
La Tahona Vieja is usually rented in full, guaranteeing exclusive use of the complex for a single group, whether you're a smaller group or the full 16 guests. Exceptionally, some of the houses may be available separately from Monday to Thursday, always subject to availability.
Pets are welcome, but you need to let us know in advance that they are coming and how many. In winter, firewood can be provided for the fireplaces on prior request and subject to availability.
The complex sits in a quiet rural setting, well placed for visiting some of the main natural areas nearby, such as the Valle de Iruelas Nature Reserve and the Embalse del Burguillo reservoir. It is a property made for getting together, enjoying the surroundings and switching off in complete privacy.
